Very private: A video of womens’ thoughts and experiences of their own bodies while role-playing in different clothes in a public space in the city. The women changed their clothes to change roles. They wore clothes identified to a hooker and then they wore very traditional clothes that muslim women wear. They were paying attention to what and how their experiences and feelings changed while they were walking on the street clothed differently. This video questions notions of self-image: How does the public perceive and react? How does this affect the self-image? Can awareness of one’s self then influence one’s own behaviors and attitudes? Will awareness of these factors change the quality of the experiences?
Hyvin yksityinen: Video naisten ajatuksists ja kokemuksista omasta ruumiista osana kaupunkitilaa. Miten julkinen vaikuttaa itsekuvaan. Vaikuttaako roolin muutos kokemukseen. Naiset vaihtoivat roolia vaihtamalla pukeutumistyyliä. Tarjolla oli ilotyttöihin miellettäviä provokatiivisia asuja sekä perinteisiä musliminaisten käyttämiä asuja. Liikkuessaan kadulla he kiinnittivät huomota omiin tuntemuksiinsa ja niiden muutoksiin. Video esittää kysymyksiä omakuvan merkityksestä. Kuinka muut ihmiset huomioivat ja regoivat? Kuinka tämä vaikuttaa itsekuvaan? Voiko tiedostamalla vaikuttaa omaan käyttäytymiseen ja asenteeseen? Muuttaako tietoinen roolinvaihto kokemuksen laatua?
